Role Overview:

An AI Governance Specialist is responsible for developing and managing policies, standards, processes, and controls that ensure artificial intelligence systems are used ethically, securely, transparently, and in compliance with applicable laws and organizational policies.

The role focuses on AI risk management, regulatory compliance, responsible AI, audits, documentation, and governance frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain AI governance policies, standards, and procedures.
Identify, assess, and manage risks associated with AI and machine-learning systems.
Establish controls for responsible and ethical AI development and deployment.
Monitor AI systems for issues such as bias, discrimination, privacy risks, security vulnerabilities, and lack of transparency.
Maintain documentation for AI models, datasets, use cases, risks, controls, and approvals.
Support AI risk assessments and impact assessments before systems are deployed.
Help organizations comply with relevant AI regulations, standards, and internal policies.
Conduct or support AI governance audits and compliance reviews.
Work with legal, compliance, cybersecurity, data science, engineering, and business teams.
Create governance reports and communicate AI risks and compliance requirements to management.
Establish processes for monitoring AI systems throughout their lifecycle.
Track changes in AI regulations and industry standards and recommend appropriate updates.
Support the implementation of responsible AI principles such as fairness, accountability, transparency, privacy, safety, and explainability.

Skills Required:

AI & Technology

Basic understanding of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
Understanding of AI/ML lifecycle and model development.
Knowledge of Generative AI and Large Language Models is an advantage.
Understanding of AI risks such as hallucination, bias, data leakage, and model misuse.
